English could earn a role as a three-point threat off the bench for the Pistons, the Mlive.com reports.

After trading away Ben Gordon this offseason, Detroit is a little thin in the backcourt. Brandon Knight and Rodney Stuckey will start, but English could see opportunities when Stuckey slides over to point guard. The Pistons have numerous small forwards (Corey Maggette, Kyle Singler, Austin Daye) who could also see time at the two, but English is the only natural shooting guard of the bench and has already impressed with his three-point shooting. His playing time isn't likely to be significant enough to make an impact in most leagues, but English might be worth a look in deep keeper formats.
