VIDEO: Knicks fans chant 'MVP' for Quincy Acy during blow out

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Not everything is gloomy with the New York Knicks.

Despite dropping their 15th consecutive loss to the Charlotte Hornets and sinking to a league-worst 5-35 on Saturday, fans in attendance at Madison Square Garden still managed to find themselves an unlikely hero.

With the Knicks trailing by 45 heading into the fourth quarter, journeyman power forward Quincy Acy (who is averaging 6.2 points and 5.4 rebounds) came alive to drop 16 points.

Unfortunately, Acy's heroics fell way short of a Knicks victory, but he did win over the hearts of the Garden's faithful, who chanted "MVP" for Acy's efforts.
