Cavaliers waive A.J. Price

The Cleveland Cavaliers have waived guard A.J. Price, the team announced Wednesday.

Price's contract would have become guaranteed on Jan. 10. Waiving him now ensures the Connecticut product will clear waivers before Saturday's deadline.

Price was previously waived by the Cavaliers on Nov. 1 before spending some time with the Indiana Pacers and then being reclaimed by the Cavaliers.

The 28-year-old averaged 6.0 points, 1.9 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 21 games between the Cavs and Pacers.
