Daniel Suarez: Eighth at LVMS

Suarez finished eighth in Sunday's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Analysis:

The driver of the No. 19 Toyota snapped a four-race Top-10 drought and claimed his seventh Top-10 finish of the season Sunday at the Vegas oval. Suarez started 19th on the grid, and raced in the teen's and 20's most of the afternoon in this 400-mile battle. The attrition rate was pretty high with a quarter of the field wrecking out. Suarez kept his Toyota Camry out of trouble, and made a late push over the closing 30 laps to secure the Top-10 finish. He climbs one spot to 19th-place in the driver point standings as a result.
