Hockey fans will have to wait a little bit longer until the annual Winter Classic. But the NHL released a taste of what's in store by releasing an architectural rendering of what Nationals Park will look like for the event.

Nationals Park is home to Major League Baseball's Washington Nationals. 

The 2015 Winter Classic, which takes place Jan. 1 at 1 p.m. ET, is between the Chicago Blackhawks and Washington Capitals.

Chicago versus Washington will mark the seventh Winter Classic since the NHL introduced the outdoor game in 2008 at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo. The only year it hasn't happened since was in 2013 due to the NHL lockout.
