Barring any setbacks, quarterback Cam Newton is on track to start Sunday when the Carolina Panthers face the Cleveland Browns, according to Panthers head coach Ron Rivera.
Newton took first-team reps at practice Thursday.
The two-time Pro Bowler missed last week's game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being involved in a car accident that resulted in two fractures in his lower back.
