Andre Schurrle doubled the lead for the hosts when his well-placed shot from outside the Sporting box beat the 'keeper and all but secured three points for Chelsea.

Sporting, however, will be desperate for a response as they will need Schalke to lose its match against Maribor if they have any chance of advancing to the Round of 16. Meanwhile, Chelsea have already secured a spot in the next round, as well as first place in the group.
