MADRID - Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti heaped praise on his in-form striker Karim Benzema on Friday as the in-form Frenchman looks to build on 11 goals in ten games at home to Celta Vigo this weekend.

"Karim's form is a reflection of the team's form, good on every level," said Ancelotti, who also praised Benzema's work ethic.

"Karim is being boosted by the team, but the team is also being boosted by Karim, not only because of his goals but also because of his all around performance."

The French international has scored 13 goals this season so far for Madrid with at least one goal in each of his previous six league appearances.

Having arrived at Madrid from Lyon in 2009, Benzema originally struggled to keep place in the starting line-up, but his 24 goals last season and his current purple patch of goals are a reflection of his growing value to Real.

The La Liga leaders can continue their sparkling form with a record-equalling 18th consecutive victory in all competitions as they host Celta Vigo on Saturday evening.

The European champions surpassed their previous club record of 15 straight wins with victory over Malaga last weekend and, following a 5-0 Copa del Rey thrashing of Cornella in midweek, now have Barcelona's Spanish record stretch of 18 victories from the 2005/06 season in their sights.

Madrid have now scored 64 goals on their winning streak, conceding only nine.
