The Cleveland Cavaliers made a switch at the back of their bench Sunday, as they have claimed point guard A.J. Price off waivers, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Subsequently, the Cavaliers waived point guard Will Cherry, reports Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Price appeared in 10 games for the Indiana Pacers this season, wherein he averaged 10.5 points and 2.7 assists per game in a backup role. Price played for the Cavaliers during the preseason, averaging 7.2 points and 1.5 assists before being cut.

If Cherry's time with Cleveland is any indication, Price will be hard-pressed to see action. Cherry played just 69 minutes for the Cavaliers this season, strictly appearing in games that were blowouts.

Cherry averaged 1.9 points and one assist in 8.6 minutes per game.
