Report: Bruins targeting Dec. 11 return for captain Zdeno Chara

The Boston Bruins are reportedly targeting a Dec. 11 return for Zdeno Chara, a timeline that would see their captain return for a 2013 Stanley Cup Final rematch with the Chicago Blackhawks. 

Chara, who skated for the first time this week since suffering a ligament tear in his left knee, will not accompany the Bruins on their road trip this week, Sportsnet's Damien Cox reported during Saturday's Headlines segment on Hockey Night In Canada. 

Should the towering defenseman make it back for the targeted return date, he will have missed seven weeks after initially receiving a four-to-six week diagnosis.
