An official prognosis on Dan Hamhuis will have to wait.
The Vancouver Canucks and their key defenseman are seeking a second opinion about the apparent lower-body injury he suffered on Nov. 20 in a game against the Anaheim Ducks. The team hopes to have an official timeline for his expected absence from the lineup in the coming days, reports Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
The injurious play can be seen here:
Hamhuis - who recorded six assists while averaging over 20 minutes of ice time per game this season - is on injured reserve, according to the club's website.
