VIDEO: Capitals' Holtby bobbles puck, kicks it into his own net

Geoff Burke / USA TODAY Sports

This probably wasn't the way Braden Holtby wanted to finish the second period of Tuesday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

With his team up by two goals with less than a minute to go in the frame, the Washington Capitals netminder bobbled a wrist shot from the point by defenseman David Savard, lost the puck as it flew into the air and onto the blue ice behind him, and then unwittingly banked it in with his own skate.

This pretty much sums it up.
