Royals' Yost wants to manage for 2-3 more seasons

A loss in Game 7 of the World Series hasn't extinguished the fire Ned Yost has to manage.

The Kansas City Royals manager addressed the media on Thursday, and while still contemplating what could have been, the 60-year-old told Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star that he still would like to manage for two or three more seasons.

Yost has managed 11 seasons in the majors, and has been with the Royals for the past five. Since replacing Trey Hillman midway through the 2010 campaign, Yost has compiled a 373-402 record.

Following three-straight losing seasons at the helm, the Royals have posted back-to-back 85-plus win campaigns and reached the World Series in 2014 for the first time in 29 years.
