Pacers' Hill suffers knee contusion vs. Timberwolves

The Indiana Pacers can't seem to go a game without some sort of injury scare.

Point guard George Hill left Tuesday's preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a left knee contusion after banging knees with T-Wolves point guard Ricky Rubio.

The Pacers are already without David West, who suffered a sprained ankle against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, and Paul George, who suffered a gruesome leg injury while with Team USA this summer.

With Lance Stephenson now plying his trade in Charlotte, Roy Hibbert may be the only Pacers' starter from last season still standing come opening night.

Having said that, West is expected back for Indiana's opener against the 76ers on Oct. 29, and Hill's injury doesn't seem that serious for now.

The Pacers need Hill healthy, as behind him their thin backcourt consists of C.J. Miles, Rodney Stuckey, C.J. Watson and Donald Sloan.

Hill averaged 10.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals Pacers last season.
