Cardinals coach Bruce Arians: 'We know we're not special'

With a 5-1 record, the Arizona Cardinals are steadily proving themselves as one of the better teams in football.

A 24-13 victory over the hapless Oakland Raiders on Sunday may not go a long way to solidifying the Cardinals' legitimacy, but their place atop the NFC West, ahead of the San Francisco and Seattle Seahawks, certainly does.

Despite their hot start, head coach Bruce Arians knows that the season is still relatively young, and that his team needs to continue forging ahead with maximum effort.

"I think we have a group of guys that find ways to win," Arians told AZ Central's Dan Bickley. "We're not special. But we have a bunch of guys that are going to play hard for 60 minutes.

"We know we're not special. The one thing we talked about all week is you never underestimate an opponent, (and) you damn sure don't overestimate yourself. We haven't done anything yet except get to 5-1. There's a lot of football left."

The Cardinals will try to improve their record to 6-1 on Sunday when they host the Philadelphia Eagles.
