A year removed from his last professional basketball game, shooting guard Richard Hamilton insists that he'd like to play in the NBA again this season.

In an interview with David Alarcon of Hoops Hype, Hamilton gives some insight into his potential return.

"I think for me, personally, I have to see how my body responds after the summer. I want to play another year and hopefully get an opportunity to play on a team with a chance to win a title," Hamilton said. "I've had a couple calls from teams."

Hamilton does tip his hand that the Minnesota Timberwolves made inquiries about his services last year. He also downplayed the rumors that he and Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau had a tumultuous relationship.

"It was never a thing with our relationship," Hamilton said. "At the end of the season, I was hurt so I missed the last six weeks going into the playoffs, and he felt the group that he had going into the playoffs was the group that he wanted to stick with. So it's a situation I cannot deal with. You know, it was frustrating for me because that's why they brought me there."

Hamilton has played 15 seasons in the NBA with the Washington Wizards, Detroit Pistons, and Bulls. He played 50 games with the Bulls in 2012-13, averaging 9.8 points per game, the lowest mark since his rookies season.
