Report: Spurs reach agreement with Swansea for Michel Vorm, but 'keeper has reservations about move

Reuters

Tottenham already have one of the top 'keepers in the Premier League tending their goal, but they are reportedly looking to solidify the position even further.

Sky Sports reports that Spurs have reached a deal with Swansea City over the transfer of Dutch shot-stopper Michel Vorm, agreeing to pay their EPL counterparts £5 million. However, the report adds the caveat that a potential deal hinges on the club's ability to broker an agreement with the 30-year-old over personal terms of his contract.

While the move would certainly be classified as a step up for the Dutchman, there are question marks over how much playing time he would see at White Hart Lane, which is reportedly holding up proceedings.

Hugo Lloris recently signed a new five-year contract with the club and is the undisputed No. 1, while veteran Brad Friedel is a more-than capable backup, and also penned a one-year contract extension this summer.
