With Dirk Nowitzki reportedly returning to the only franchise he's ever known, the Dallas Mavericks have also acquired a backup power forward for the 12-time All-Star.

The deal is said to be for the $1.4 million veteran minimum, which would mean the Mavericks still have their $2.7 million room exception to add another piece, too.

Lewis spent his last two seasons with the Miami Heat, where he won his first NBA championship in 2012-13 playing alongside former Seattle SuperSonics teammate Ray Allen.

Last season saw Lewis average 4.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game, while posting a true shooting percentage of 53.5 percent and a player efficiency rating of 10.7.
