Report: Seahawks do not expect Marshawn Lynch to show for mandatory minicamp

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

The Seattle Seahawks are anticipating a holdout from running back Marshawn Lynch when mandatory minicamp gets underway Tuesdayaccording to Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports.

Lynch is reportedly unhappy with his contract, though it is not known whether there are other contributing factors for his expected absence. He did not attend the team's White House visit in May, and has not been spotted at any of the organized team activities thus far.

The four-time Pro Bowler, who has two years remaining on his contract, will earn a base salary of $5 million this season and $5.5 million in 2015.

As Getlin notes, Lynch could be subject to a $69,455 fine if he skips all three days of minicamp.
