Hatem Ben Arfra's former teammate and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye expressed doubt regarding the former's future at Newcastle United.

"For me, Hatem remains an extraordinary player with enormous quality. He's one of the highest quality players I've played with," Cabaye said via The Guardian. "He will bound back with a new club. If he comes back home, it will be good for French football."

Ben Arfa has been a key player for Newcastle United and manager Alan Pardew, but faced an extended period of time on the sidelines due to Pardew's belief that the 27-year-old was unfit for the No. 10 role.

The former Marseille managed three goals and five assists in all competitions last season.
