Report: Jussi Jaaskelainen signs 1-year contract extension with West Ham

Finnish goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has signed a one-year contract extension with West Ham on Wednesday, ESPN FC reports.

Jaaskelainen was the starting goalkeeper at the beginning of the last season but eventually lost his job to Adrian. He made 18 appearances and recorded eight clean sheets before being supplanted by the Spaniard.

Presumably, both keepers will battle for the starting job next season, with Adrian as the likely front-runner.
