Odom will finally start training at the Knicks' facilities Monday and may ultimately be poised to participate in the Las Vegas Summer League, the New York Post reports.

Analysis:

Odom was signed at the very end of the regular season but hasn't yet actually participated in any basketball related activities. Obviously, he has a connection with the president of the Knicks, Phil Jackson, although that doesn't necessarily guarantee him a spot on the 2014-15 team. He'll have to spend the entire offseason proving that he's worth the space on the bench, which possibly means playing in the Summer League against mostly rookie and second-year players that have far less experience than Odom.
