Martin Montoya on Barca's struggles: 'Mentally we're pretty screwed up'

It might be hard to fathom, but there's a realistic possibility that Barcelona will end their 2013-14 campaign without any silverware.

A 1-0 loss to Granada on Saturday put a serious dent in their chances of winning La Liga, and only days earlier, the Blaugrana were eliminated from the Champions League after falling to Atletico Madrid by the same scoreline. The Copa del Rey, where Barcelona will take on Real Madrid in the final on May 16, remains the club's best chance at winning a trophy.

The critics are inevitably out in full force as it's been quite some time since the Catalan side have endured a week like this last one. And now, it appears the string of poor results are taking a psychological toll on some of the club's players.

"Mentally we're pretty screwed up," Martin Montoya told the club's website after Barcelona's loss to Granada. "We could have won but we couldn't capitalize on our chances."

As it stands, Barcelona sit third in La Liga table, one point back of second-placed Real Madrid and four points back of league-leading Atletico Madrid. All three sides have fives game remaining.
