McKenzie: 'Conventional wisdom' is that Ryan Miller will test Ducks' interest during free-agency

In their continuing quest to bring the Stanley Cup to St. Louis sooner rather than later, the Blues took a big gamble acquiring impending unrestricted free-agent goaltender Ryan Miller before the trade deadline

Considering the package they gave up to grab him, it's pretty obvious that management in St. Louis would like to see Miller sporting the blue note crest for the foreseeable future. Miller, however, may test the waters of free-agency to see if he can land somewhere else. Somewhere with palm trees, beaches and an overwhelming amount of plastic surgeries gone both fantastically right, and horribly wrong.

Via TSN's Bob McKenzie:

The conventional wisdom among the hockey community is that one of the reasons Miller wants to wait until free agency on July 1 is to see if there's any interest from the Anaheim Ducks. There was all sorts of speculation that the Ducks tried to make a trade with the Buffalo Sabres earlier this season for Miller, but that it fell through and they weren't able to do it.

Miller's wife is an actress. She does all sorts of work in Hollywood and the possibility of being on a California team might be something that is really good for Ryan Miller. So, we'll wait and see where that goes.

In 11 games with the first place Blues, the former Vezina Trophy winner has posted a 8-2-1 record with a 2.12 GAA, and a .913 save percentage.
