Wright will likely serve as the backup power forward once LaMarcus Aldridge (back) is cleared to play, The Columbian reports. "When LaMarcus comes back, that's going to be 36 minutes," said coach Terry Stotts. "We have to look at him [Wright] as the backup four especially with Joel Freeland being out. Because we are able to change the pace of play."
Analysis:
Wright has started each of the three games in which Aldridge has been absent, and despite a poor shooting night (0-8 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT) Tuesday, the wing holds averages of 9.7 points (on 40.9 percent shooting), 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 treys, 1.3 assists, one block, and 0.7 steals in 21.3 minutes. Because Aldridge is considered doubtful for Thursday's contest against the Wizards, Wright should again prove to be a fruitful streaming option.
