Vito Mannone: Clean Sheet vs. Palace

Mannone got out of his mini-slump Saturday by recording a clean sheet on five shots in the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.

Analysis:

After allowing nine goals in his last three games, this is a good sign for Mannone. With that said, he was facing a Palace team that really struggles to score. Sunderland travel to Norwich and Liverpool for their next two matches and that should be a better indicator of where this team is at defensively.
