Luis Suarez claims Patrice Evra's race allegations were 'all false'

Luis Suarez is to controversy what peanut butter is to jam. Good on its own, but almost impossible to think of one without instantly being reminded of the other.

Well, the Liverpool striker is back at it again, as he has risked re-opening his dispute with Patrice Evra after saying the 2011 allegations of racial abuse against the United player were "all false."

Suarez was banned for eight matches in 2011 after he was found guilty by the FA of racially abusing the French defender.

However, in an interview with Uruguayan radio station Sport890 AM, he says that he did nothing wrong in that regard, claiming instead that the only regrets of his football career to date involve two separate biting incident -- the more infamous of the two involving Branislav Ivanovic last season.

The Guardian has the details:

"Let me tell you, I've made only two mistakes in my career. My first was when I was playing for Ajax and I bit an opponent. My second was when I bit [Branislav] Ivanovic [against Chelsea].

"The case with Evra was all false. I was accused without proof. But that's in the past. I was sad at that moment, but I'm happy today. I have grown up. I have thought more about things before doing them.

"Now people in England can't talk about me because I'm not doing anything wrong. They have to talk about me only as a footballer. I said I'm sorry [after the Ivanovic bite] and that was all, end of story. I've nothing else to regret. All the other things were like a movie that people in England believed in."

A helpful suggestion: maybe try getting your protein from another source, Luis.
