Report: Former Trail Blazer F Luke Babbitt leaves Russia, will sign with Pelicans

Former 2010 first round-pick and Portland Trail Blazer Luke Babbitt has reached reached an agreement to leave his Russian team and sign with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to reports. 

Babbitt signed with the Russian club BC Nizhny Novgorod in the summer after the Trail Blazers did not decided to extend his fourth-year rookie option. He was a 16th overall pick in 2010 by the Minnesota Timberwolves, but was immediately traded to Portland where he's played all of the NBA ball of his career. 

In the NBA, he averages 3.8 points and 2.1 rebounds. In VTB United League play he's averaging 13.3 points and 3.7 rebounds.
