VIDEO: Al Harrington's mom prepared Thanksgiving dinner for the Wizards

There's nothing on the NBA schedule on Thanksgiving Thursday, but that doesn't mean it's possible for players to get home for the holidays.

Al Harrington was thrilled to learn the Wizards would be traveling to Indiana to take on the Pacers and he could enjoy the fixings at home with his mom, reports Michael Lee of the Washington Post

The Washington Wizards were supposed to eat turkey dinner at their Indianapolis hotel Thursday, but Harrington made a phone call:

...he called his mother, Mona Lawton, to see if she would be able to cook a huge holiday meal for all of his teammates. Lawton had never cooked for that many people, but she told her son, “Of course.”

Lawton's menu is probably grounds to start a Thanksgiving catering company. She might want to change her number, just in case the road team in 2014 remembers that she's capable of magic.

Note: you can't see the Sweet Potato Pie, Apple Pie, Red Velvet Cupcakes or Chocolate Mousse because the menu is that long.

Reporter Casey Phillips was invited along for the festivities and captured this video:
