Wizards SF Singleton to have left foot surgery; out 6-8 weeks
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Washington Wizards small forward Chris Singleton will have surgery on his left foot and will be out up to two months, the club announced.
Singleton hurt his left foot during a workout on Tuesday, and needs surgery to repair a Jones fracture to his fifth metatarsal (whatever that means).
Singleton was drafted 18th overall in the first round by the Wizards in 2011. He averaged 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 57 games last season.
Singleton's under contract this season for just over $1.7 million, according to HoopsHype. A 2014-2015 team option at over $2.6 million exists on his deal.
