In nine starts to end the season, Claver flashed some of his potential, posting 7.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.2 treys, and 0.6 steals in 28.5 minutes per outing. Aside from many a DNP-Coach's Decision and a brief D-League stint to tip off 2012-13, the Spanish forward endured injuries to his right elbow and left ankle, which combined to keep him out of the lineup for 33 games. Expect Claver to act as Nicolas Batum's primary backup at small forward heading into next season, with brief runs playing the stretch four as well.
