The 33-year-old veteran was relatively healthy all year, but he was buried on the bench from mid-December through the end of the season. The Pistons clearly acquired Maggette for his expiring contract, so his limited role on a rebuilding team shouldn't have been too surprising. Maggette might be able to catch on as a depth option elsewhere, but his days of logging heavy minutes appear to be a thing of the past.
