Smith scored a season-best 13 points on 5-of-7 from the floor, including two from beyond the arc, and 1-of-2 from the free-throw line during Portland's win Saturday over Utah. He also dished out two assists, while picking up one rebound and one steal in 18 minutes.
Smith wholly took advantage of Ronnie Price's absence Saturday due to an ankle sprain, acting as Damian Lillard's top backup at the point. In the process, he doubled his trey output, while surpassing double-digit points for just the second time in 2012-13. With Price questionable for Monday's tilt in Minnesota, Smith could again earn decent minutes, though a repeat performance seems far-fetched after little success, even during garbage time, this season.
