Perhaps overshadowing the fact that the Los Angeles Clippers have met their demise in this year's NBA playoffs is the harsh reality that 10-time All-Star Paul Pierce has taken the floor for the final time after 19 seasons competing in the Association.

Pierce - who stated prior to the start of the season that this would be his last - played 21 minutes and scored six points in the Clippers' 104-91 loss to the Utah Jazz in Game 7 at Staples Center.

The basketball world took to social media to show love to The Truth later in the day, congratulating the 39-year-old on a career that will undoubtedly earn him entry into the Basketball Hall of Fame sooner rather than later.
