Best north London derby moments at White Hart Lane

Sunday marks the end of an era as Arsenal and Tottenham clash at White Hart Lane for the last time.

The 118-year-old stadium - which will make way for a new state-of-the-art park as Tottenham gets set to temporarily call Wembley Stadium home next season - has staged countless unforgettable moments between the two north London rivals.

Here's a look at some of the most memorable north London derby moments at White Hart Lane:

Spurs dismantle Arsenal en route to title - 1961

For younger Spurs fans, the success in 1961 is probably difficult to fathom after recent decades of struggling just to qualify for a place in Europe, or to top their north London neighbours.

The 1961 edition of the team continues to be celebrated for a dominant season in which it hoisted both the top flight and FA Cup trophies in the same year.

However, coming a close third to those triumphs will likely be the 4-2 pasting of Arsenal that manager Bill Nicholson's side produced earlier that season as Tottenham charged toward its second-ever league title.

Arsenal clinches title - 2004

It doesn't get any better than celebrating the league title in enemy territory.

There wasn't a trophy presentation when Arsenal clinched the Premier League title with a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane, but that didn't stop the Invincible Gunners from celebrating their historic feat after completing the 2003-04 season without a loss.

Luckily, there was a solution, as Arsenal players paraded and posed for pictures with an inflatable, replica trophy.

Campbell's return - 2001

Crossing the divide has rarely triggered the type of anger between the two teams that was displayed in 2001 when Sol Campbell returned to White Hart Lane three months after leaving Tottenham for Arsenal.

Tottenham supporters throughout the park held signs and balloons displaying the name "Judas," to mark their deep feelings of betrayal.

"It was like people wanted to kill me with their expressions," Campbell later told FourFourTwo. "There were men, women, children, black, white, Indian. It was just like, wow."

The English defender eventually solidified himself as an Arsenal legend after helping the club capture a pair of Premier League titles and three FA Cups.

Walcott gets the last laugh - 2014

With one simple gesture, Theo Walcott ignited tensions in the stand as he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher.

Unaware that his season had come to a premature end due to a serious knee injury suffered during the encounter, a smirking Walcott was happy to remind the fans of the scoreline as he left the pitch.

Unfortunately for the stewards who acted as a human shield while carrying him off, irate Spurs fans began launching projectiles toward the Arsenal forward.

Kane's golazo - 2016

Harry Kane will look to make it six goals in five north London derbies Sunday.

But, chances are, future derby goals likely won't come close to topping his go-ahead strike last season.

On the heels of a Toby Alderweireld equaliser, Kane sent the home support into a frenzy when he produced an unstoppable strike from the corner of the area that soared beyond a helpless David Ospina.
