Shaquille O'Neal vs. The Big Show was one of the most anticipated matches leading up to WrestleMania 33, but was ultimately called off.

The NBA Hall of Famer addressed the canceled bout Monday during a live Q&A on "The Big Podcast with Shaq," placing the blame squarely on WWE.

"They (WWE) kept playing," O'Neal said (starts at the 32:30 mark). "First, they said it was me and Big Show. Then, they said it was going to be three-on-three. Then, they canceled it, so when they canceled it, I made other arrangements.

"Then they tried to call back and tried to get it done and I just said, 'I'm not going to do it.' They messed it up."

O'Neal also shot down co-host John Kincade's theory that he was afraid to lose, saying it's "for the kids."
