Watch: Rapids' Doyle hits himself in face attempting bicycle kick

In an attempt to break a goalless deadlock against Minnesota United, Colorado Rapids forward Kevin Doyle looked as though he was on the verge of becoming a candidate for goal of the month when he squared up for a bicycle kick.
Instead, the Rapids forward was left red-faced, both figuratively and literally, after the ball launched off his boot and directly into his face.
