Watch: Souza hits line drive HR off foul pole

Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports

Few balls in play make fans wonder how fast a ball is hit twice, but Statcast may have to invent a new column for exit velocity off a foul pole, after Steven Souza Jr.'s line drive homer Sunday against the Houston Astros.

The Tampa Bay Rays outfielder went as close to putting one into 162 Landing as possible, obliterating a 2-2 pitch from Joe Musgrove down the left-field line. The pitch left his bat at 106 mph and traveled just 373 feet before bouncing right back into play off the foul pole.

Foul pole exit velocity. Your move, Daren Willman.
