Look: Fan asks Orioles' Davis to prom

Chris Davis, whose jaw can, and has, cut glass, is perhaps the obvious choice for an ideal prom date. That's what Baltimore Orioles fan Mia Thomas was hoping for during Saturday night's victory over the visiting Boston Red Sox.

Unfortunately for Thomas, the summer is not the ideal time for ballplayers to take vacation days, so Davis declined. But he did take the time to acknowledge her lofty hopes and general moxie.

Not a bad silver medal.
