UEFA lifts Financial Fair Play probation on Manchester City, PSG

UEFA announced Friday it has ended Financial Fair Play (FFP) probationary periods issued to both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain after the two clubs met their required objectives as outlined in settlement agreements signed in 2014.

The two clubs were hit with various sanctions as the result of breaching FFP guidelines in 2014 and were handed Champions League squad caps, transfer restrictions, significant fines, and employee wage restrictions as a result.

PSG announced that the club is no longer in a probation period having met 100 percent of its outlined objectives, and said in a statement the club will "continue to adhere, as it has always done, to the financial regulations established by the national and European governing bodies."

Manchester City will be refunded £33.4 million (€40 million) in fines, too, PA Sport reports.

Furthermore, UEFA confirmed Dinamo Zagreb also had its probation period lifted having met the terms of its own settlement agreement last year.
