Gabriel Barbosa, affectionately known as Gabigol, will be shipped out if there isn't a change in the Brazilian forward's fortunes at Internazionale.

Wagner Ribeiro, Gabigol's agent, admitted to travelling to Milan, Italy and speaking to Inter's directors in an exclusive interview with FOX Sports Brasil. He declared that his client will join another club in Europe if he fails to play for the Nerazzurri.

Ribeiro also made it clear that Gabigol, who joined Inter from Santos FC for a reported fee of €25 million, will not return to Brazil.

"I've just got back from Milan, where I spoke to Inter directors," Ribeiro said, according to ESPN FC's Ben Gladwell. "We will resolve the issue in that if he does not play, or rather he is not given a chance - and I don't mean necessarily in the starting XI - we will send him out on loan to another European club."

It was only in August of last year that Gabigol was running neck and neck with Gabriel Jesus. The two players took the pitch together at Rio 2016, completing Brazil's trophy cabinet by winning a gold medal on home soil. But the former is gone from the public eye while the latter is surrounded by hype at Manchester City.

Since arriving at San Siro Stadium, Gabigol holds only seven appearances to his name in Serie A - all of which came as a substitute - and one goal, which he scored in the Nerazzurri's 1-0 victory at Bologna FC 1909.
