Hansbrough suffered what he called a "grade-one" sprained left shoulder and did not play in the second half of Wednesday night's win over Utah, the Indianapolis Star reports. Apparently, he could have played following the injury, but Indiana head coach Frank Vogel opted to sit him and let D.J. Augustin get some run in a game that turned out to be a blowout win for the Pacers.

Hansbrough had recently supplanted Augustin as the team's backup to George Hill at point guard, but Augustin (seven points, 3-of-4 FG) played like a player who saw this as an opportunity to get back in the rotation. Hansbrough labeled himself day-to-day. The Pacers' next game is Friday against the Cavaliers. If he is forced to sit, Augustin will likely see extra minutes in his place.
