Report: Iowa State lands Virginia transfer Marial Shayok

Marial Shayok appears to have found a new home, as the Virginia transfer has committed to Iowa State, a source told ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
The 6-foot-6 swingman played three seasons with the Cavaliers, averaging 8.9 points last campaign as a junior. With London Perrantes lost to graduation, Shayok was Virginia's leading scorer, but opted to transfer.
As per NCAA regulations, the Canadian will have to sit out next season before becoming eligible in 2018-19. Iowa State lost its top four scorers due to graduation, so while he can't help next year, adding Shayok is still a huge pickup for the Cyclones.
