The 6-foot-11 forward averaged 14.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 2016-17, helping USC reach the NCAA tournament Round of 32 while simultaneously surging up projected draft boards.

Metu's return, along with the introduction of Duke transfer Derryck Thornton and possible return of leading scorer Bennie Boatwright, means the Trojans should be poised to contend in the Pac-12 next year. Boatwright is currently testing the NBA draft waters and has until May 24 to withdraw his name.
