PGA picks: Koepka looks to cash in at Valero Texas Open

The picks were on fire last week, with both Wesley Bryan (60/1) and Graham DeLaet (90/1) entering the final round in contention for a huge value win.

The Canadian would fade with a final round 73, but Bryan would collect his first PGA Tour win with a one-stroke victory, cashing in at the 60/1 number for a big payday.

It's the fourth winner of the season for the PGA picks column, and the one with largest odds, taking the spot over Jon Rahm's 50/1 triumph at Torrey Pines. As the Tour heads back to the Lonestar state for the Valero Texas Open, here's the five guys to watch this week.

Favorite to watch (odds less than 25/1)

Brooks Koepka

It's been an up-and-down season for Brooks Koepka, but his performance at the Masters shows he's ready to turn the corner. The long-hitting 26-year-old posted an 11th-place showing at Augusta, and his ability to absolutely melt the ball off the tee will play well at the challenging track in Texas this week. Koepka missed the cut at last year's event, but his solid form should see him in contention this weekend.

Odds to win: 22/1
Top-5 odds: 9/2

2nd tier (odds greater than 25/1)

Ryan Palmer

Ryan Palmer has eight rounds in the 60s at TPC San Antonio since 2010, second only to Charley Hoffman. The 40-year-old Texan comes in hot after firing a final-round 68 at the RBC Heritage last weekend, and has two top-10 finishes in the Valero Texas Open in his last two starts.

Odds to win: 28/1
Top-5 odds: 6/1

Long shot (odds greater than 50/1)

Daniel Summerhays

Like Palmer, Daniel Summerhays has shown the ability to go low at the TPC San Antonio, posting seven rounds in the 60s since 2010. The 33-year-old has been a beast at the difficult track in recent years, posting finishes of 13th, fourth, second, and seventh in his last four starts at the event. It's a bit worrying that Summerhays has yet to post a top-10 in 2017, but his past record at this event is worth a wager.

Odds to win: 55/1
Top-5 odds: 11/1

Super long shot (odds greater than 80/1)

Bryson DeChambeau

Any progress Bryson DeChambeau looked to have made with three straight solid showings was washed away with a missed cut at Harbour Town last week. Despite his struggles on the tight course, the talented 23-year-old is worth a look at 80/1 this week in Texas. Driving the ball well is essential at TPC San Antonio, and DeChambeau ranks 16th on Tour in strokes gained off-the-tee this season. If he can put forth even an average week putting, he should be in contention for the win.

Odds to win: 80/1
Top-5 odds: 16/1

Hit this bet, buy a car (odds greater than 125/1)

Beau Hossler

A former Texas Longhorn looks for some professional success in the Lonestar state this week, as Beau Hossler makes his fifth start of the season on the PGA Tour. The 22-year-old has made two of four cuts on the year with a 39th-place showing at the Shell Houston Open, his best finish thus far, but his game is tailored for difficult courses like TPC San Antonio. At 175/1, he's worth a small wager as a supreme long shot.

Odds to win: 175/1
Top-5 odds: 28/1
