This week's winners and losers in the golf world
Now that the Texas Open has wrapped up, we look at who came out on top this week in the world of golf - and who didn't fare so well.
Winners:
Kevin Chappell
Chappell grabbed his first PGA Tour win this week at the Texas Open, making an 8-footer for birdie at the 72nd hole. The 30-year-old can now start looking for a rental home in Augusta, Ga., for next year's Masters. Just watch out for the slippery floors, Kevin.

Ian Poulter
Poulter didn't make the cut Friday at the Texas Open, and with that, he lost his status on the PGA Tour. The Englishman missed the target by $30,624, but put everything in perspective after the round.
"You know, it's not all bad. I'm healthy, I'm playing golf, I'm still going to be able to play golf," Poulter told the Golf Channel.
TPC San Antonio
The resort's AT&T Oaks Course was an absolute beast this week, producing the hardest-scoring conditions on tour Saturday with an average score of 75.27. Eleven of the holes played over par this week.
Losers:
Patrick Reed
Reed hasn't played at all this season, and has now missed the cut in three consecutive events. The five-time PGA Tour winner attributed his issues to his equipment, which can't make his sponsor, Callaway Golf, very happy.
Another 'successful' surgery
Tiger Woods announced Thursday he underwent another back operation and said the surgery went well. That's what he said the three previous times he went under the knife for his back problems, and there's no reason to believe the results will be any different this time. Four surgeries on his back and four on his knee, and each one was a success. Believe that if you want.
