Curry's 37-point night ensures sweep of Trail Blazers

The Golden State Warriors brought their brooms to the Moda Center, along with an offensive attack the hometown Portland Trail Blazers had no answer for.

After scoring the first 12 points of the ballgame and taking a 25-5 lead early on, it was obvious the Warriors didn't want their opening-round series with Portland to go beyond Monday night.

That was especially apparent in Stephen Curry's performance: He had his strongest outing of the series in Golden State's emphatic 128-103 victory in Game 4. The reigning back-to-back MVP scored 37 points in just 29 minutes of action, connected on seven 3-pointers, and chipped in seven rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.

"We came out on a mission. Obviously we won by 25, but it wasn't going to be easy. Any closeout game is tough, so to start the way we did was amazing," Curry said in his postgame interview.

The Chef's seven daggers from deep give him 261 for his career, tying Robert "Big Shot Bob" Horry for ninth on the NBA's all-time playoff threes list.

Golden State as a team made 17 shots from 3-point range on 29 attempts. Draymond Green dropped 21 points of his own, while Kevin Durant played 20 minutes and added 10 points in his return to the lineup following a calf injury.

With Portland now in the rearview mirror, the Warriors can look ahead to their upcoming series against either the Los Angeles Clippers or Utah Jazz, who are currently locked at two games apiece.

"We continue to build momentum. An opportunity to close out tonight was there, and we took advantage of it," Curry said of Game 4. "Obviously we'll be paying attention to the other series to see who we play, get some rest, and stay ready for Round 2."
