Florida State hauls in 4-star CB Asante Samuel Jr.

Florida State nabbed a defensive game changer on Thursday as four-star defensive back Asante Samuel Jr. committed to the Seminoles for the class of 2018.

The son of former NFL standout Asante Samuel is ranked as the fifth-best player at his position in the country, and is listed as the 50th overall prospect on the ESPN 300.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder was heavily recruited by a number of schools including local power Miami, but opted to head north in the sunshine state to join Jimbo Fisher's outfit.
