Will Wade's first signing at LSU is a large one.

The Tigers announced Thursday that Wade has secured four-star power forward and top-100 recruit Mayan Kiir. The Bradenton, Fla., native was previously slated to play for Wade at VCU, before the prized coach took his talents to Baton Rouge.

"He has tremendous upside after a high school and AAU career in which he was extremely well-coached in a system that is similar to what we will have here at LSU," Wade said of his new asset. "He's got good range. He;s tremendous on the offensive and defensive boards. He's terrific defensively and we look forward to him joining our team for the coming season."

The 6-foot-9, 215-pound Kiir is ranked 95th overall on the ESPN 100. He garnered scholarship interest from Louisville, NC State, and Illinois.
