The Squad Up PGA game features a couple of different tournament types. The main weekly contests will focus on the entire tournament, with golfers receiving both positive and negative points for scoring; any golfer finishing inside the top 10 at the end of the tournament will also get a placing bonus. The other contest will occur daily for each round. These will focus solely on in-round scoring without rewards for the standings.

Lineups consist of five golfers. Unlike other daily fantasy PGA sites, Squad Up divides each individual roster spot into its own player poo. The player pools are based on the Official World Golf Rankings, with the overall caliber of each pool being relatively similar.

Sample Tournament Lineup

POSITION GOLFER FPPG SALARY
G1 Matt Kuchar 30.8 97K
G2 Aaron Baddeley 27.0 29K
G3 Bryson DeChambeau 27.5 39K
G4 Russell Knox 29.5 94K
G5 Luke List 33.5 36K

Knox and Kuchar anchor the lineup with impressive course histories at Harbour Town. Knox has finished inside the top 20 in each of his three tries and is coming off a runner-up finish in 2016. Kuchar won the event in 2014 and has followed it up with fifth- and ninth-place finishes in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Baddeley won the event in 2006, while he and DeChambeau finished in the top 10 of last year's event.

Per FantasyInsiders, the key stats for this week are Driving Accuracy, Strokes Gained: Putting, Par 4 Scoring Average, Strokes Gained: Approach, and Bogey Avoidance.

Group 1

  • Top Play - Kuchar: Kuchar will be popular following Sunday's ace at Augusta National, but he has the course history and recent form to make him worth a selection with high ownership. He hasn't fared overly well in this week's key stats with the exception of 38th ranking in Bogey Avoidance. Eight others in the field have played here each of the past 10 years, but only one other has played all four rounds each time.
  • Value Target - Kyle Stanley (25K): Stanley ranks inside the top 20 in all of the week's key stats except for Strokes Gained: Putting. 2016 was his best finish in five career tries at this event, turning in a result of 33rd. He placed eighth at the Houston Open, before the Masters.
  • Fade - Matthew Fitzpatrick (87K): Fitzpatrick missed the cut at this event last year, a week removed from a seventh-placed finish at the Masters. His only other appearance at Harbour Town came in 2014, which resulted in a 23rd-placed finish. He finished fifth at the Dubai Desert Classic, but he has yet to crack the top 10 on the PGA Tour this season.

Group 2

  • Top Play - Kevin Kisner (81K): Kisner's key stats are highlighted by a rank of eighth in SG: Approach and 18th in Driving Accuracy. He has played here each of the past three years and four times in total, highlighted by a runner-up result in 2015. He finished just 69th last season, but he is only four weeks removed from a second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
  • Value Target - Bryce Molder (25K): Molder has played the RBC Heritage each of the past seven years, turning in 15th- and sixth-place results in 2015 and 2016, respectively. He has made each of his past two cuts on tour in 2017, though he has played just twice in four weeks. He has made only six cuts in his 13 events this year, but he has good history at a low salary.
  • Fade - Francesco Molinari (88K): The key stats favor Molinari, who ranks second in DA and fifth in SGA. He has played this tournament just twice, missing the cut in 2011 and finishing 45th last year. He is one of the more prominent names in attendance, but his inexperience at the course could override his pedigree.

Group 3

  • Top Play - Russell Henley (63K): Henley continued his phenomenal putting this season en route to an 11th-place finish at Augusta. He ranks sixth in SGP for the season and 12th in Par 4 Scoring. He`ll be making his fifth consecutive appearance at Harbour Town, his best result a sixth-place showing in 2013.
  • Value Target - Rafael Campos (25K): Campos will be participating in his third PGA tournament of the season, with a seventh at the Houston Open and a 10th at his native Puerto Rico Open thus far. He's a rookie at Harbour Town, but has been showing well in these weaker-field events.
  • Fade - Danny Willett (101K): Willett will also debut at the RBC Heritage, but without the previous success this calendar year. He's coming off a missed cut in his Masters defense, and he also missed the cut in The Honda Classic. With results of 75th and 69th in two WGC events this year, he would have missed the cut in those, as well.

Group 4

  • Top Play - Martin Laird (40K): Laird has played this event five times, missing the cut thrice with a best finish of 41st in 2010. He has four top 10s on tour this season, with the most recent coming as an eighth at the Genesis Open. He missed the cut in two of his past four tournaments, but he has top-35 ranks in three of the five key stats.
  • Value Target - Vaughan Taylor (25K): Taylor ranks in the top 50 in four of the five key stats but not inside the 26 of any one. He'll be making his 10th appearance since 2005, with top finishes of fourth and third in 2007 and 2006, respectively. He finished 23rd in each of his past two events this year.
  • Fade - Hideto Tanihara (72K): Tanihara missed the cut at the Masters and has a top finish of 27th at the Sony Open so far this season. He has yet to play in the RBC Heritage and should be avoid at an aggressively high salary.

Group 5

  • Top Play - Martin Kaymer (76K): Kaymer impressed in his final round of the Masters, at points making five consecutive birdies. He has two appearances at the RBC Heritage, most recently finishing 23rd in 2014. He has made all eight of his starts on the PGA and European tours, finishing fourth at both The Honda Classic and the HSBC Championship.
  • Value Target - List: List is ranked 36th in SGA and 20th in BA. He's part of an underwhelming fifth player grouping, where no one priced below him has much of a chance to place in the event. List has a scoring average of 70 strokes, and carded two rounds of 68 here in 2016.
  • Fade - Billy Horschel (56K): Horschel is priced in the upper echelon of the group, despite finishing outside the top 50 in each of his past three appearances at Harbour Town. He ranks just 108th in DA and 90th in SGP - neither driving for show, nor putting for dough.
